"Ready, Set, Cook"

A team of Barry Tech Culinary Students won 1st and 3rd place in the American Culinary Federation of Long Island "Ready, Set, Cook" Competition. First Place winners include: (L-R) Kevin Fainer (Island Trees), Philip Weinstein (Long Beach) and Dylan Selock (Bethpage) pictured with Chef/Teacher Paul Magro who was awarded Educator of the Year. Third Place winners include Caleb Harbeck (Oceanside), Kristain Ramnarine (Long Beach) and John Brugueras (Long Beach) pictured with Chef/Teacher John Murphy. Students were awarded scholarships to Monroe College. Congratulations Barry Tech Students.

Barry Tech Teacher Named Educator of the Year!
Congratulations to Chef Paul Magro for being named Educator of the Year by the American Culinary Federation on January 30th. This award pays tribute to an activie culinary educator whose knowledge, skills, and expertise have enhanced the image of the professional chef, and who, by example, has given leadership, guidance, and direction to students seeking a career in the culinary profession.
